Our sports scientist, Paul Goods carries out Lactate Threshold testing instore for both running and cycling. Come equipped to either run or cycle (with own bike) with suitable clothing, heart rate monitor and power metre (non essential). The testing session lasts 30 minutes and will help ascertain the point at which your body starts to accumulate increasing concentration of lactic acid. This allows Paul to give you target heart rate zones for your training or he can give you the threshold data for your coach to interpret. Regular re-testing can help guage the effectivenss of your training programme, ensuring you are making ongoing improvements by targeting the correct training intensities.
